It’s Day 30!
It’s been a lot of fun writing every day, even when I didn’t feel like it / was out of ideas, which happened more than I’d like to admit.
I don’t think I’ll continue at this pace. Summer is a perfect time to do it; I haven’t exactly been bored this summer, but I’ve had just enough time to squeeze in some writing here and there. The school year is a whole different animal.
Still, I want to keep publishing, at least sometimes. Maybe keep Teaching Tuesday going. The Sunday Media Digests. Random ranked lists from time to time. Even if nobody reads these, they’re useful thinking exercises for me, and if this month has taught me anything it’s that my brain needs me to write as much as possible: to clarify ideas, to discover what I think, and to un-junk the clutter of the mind.
I’d also like to get back to “bucket list”-style content. I have something cooking right now that will likely end up being a “40 Before 40” list. (Just typing that sentence is a reality check!)
I’ve enjoyed how writing each day has forced me to look for the interesting, the weird, the beautiful in each day. Life is worth writing about. All I need to do is pay attention.
To those who have followed the journey, I appreciate your time, likes, comments, and support.
Until next time.
